“PrettyLittleThing will give you the opportunity to develop your ideas in a nurturing environment.”
Why did you apply to work for us?
PLT were offering a genuine once in a lifetime opportunity to reskill with an actual liveable wage during training.
What do you get up to in your role?
I am currently studying a Level 4 apprenticeship in software development.
What’s the best thing about working for us?
The company is so forward thinking and the first I have worked for that put their employees at the forefront of what they do.
How would you describe the culture?
Coming into the office doesn’t entirely feel like working. From the structured development activities and the welfare perks such as free gym and healthy, onsite, subsidised catering options, why wouldn’t you want to come into work.
How did you find the application and interview process?
I applied after seeing a Facebook ad. My journey was quite long due to it being an apprenticeship.
What advice would you give to applicants looking to apply?
Don’t be afraid to apply. The worst that can happen is you get some amazing feedback that may propel your career in another direction.
What advice would you give to applicants preparing for interview/Assessment Centre?
If you really want to work in software development, focus and practice are your friends. If following a structured route with PLT and Northcoders, be honest with your mentor, and they will help set a timeline you can achieve.
Have you been offered any training, networking or workshops?
I have only been with the company since mid-December and I am already fully committed to my apprenticeship.
What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?
Just passing my entry assessment and being chosen to take part in such a great programme.
What makes someone successful here?
You need to have the drive to succeed. If you have that PLT will give you all the tools you need to achieve your goals.
Why should top talent join us instead of a competitor?
PLT will give you the opportunity to develop your ideas in a nurturing environment whilst either providing the resources or supporting your own self-development to make your idea come to life.
