Our technical team are looking for a strong and confident individual to join the team as a Senior Garment Technologist who will be responsible to lead and coordinate all below listed technical activities in Italy for all brands across the Boohoo Group.


  • Conduct fit sessions, balancing speed and quality; making commercial decisions with confidence; owning the fitting process and inspiring trust and confidence
  • Supporting the Technical team and in managing fit sessions and product areas
  • Sending clear, concise and accurate comments to suppliers; processing samples in a timely and agile manner, in line with KPI’s
  • Support UK Garment technologists and implement necessary actions with suppliers to support Boohoo local sealing project.
  • Train all new suppliers base on quality manuals and ensure understanding of Boohoo Quality expectations.
  • Organise regular meetings with suppliers
  • Initiate a CAPAR (Corrective and Preventive Action Plan) for Red Rated suppliers and follow up RED RATED suppliers’ CAPAR to ensure necessary action done in place
  • Ensure Boohoo Metal Policy in place across all Italian suppliers
  • Keep record and records and analyse supplier quality performance
  • Liaising with design, buying and suppliers to offer technical guidance on new product development with the aim of reducing costs and improving quality
  • Ensuring compliance with product safety and reach legislation; assessing risk, advising on relevant testing; recording and resolving non-compliance effectively and efficiently
  • Contributing to initiatives to reduce customer returns
  • Conduct inline check in the factory to investigate issues and improve supplier quality management processes.
  • Promoting quality at all times, whilst maintaining a strong commercial attitude
  • Feeding back to QA Manager, peers and Technologists with recommendations for improvements to procedures and practices.

  • Previous experience in a senior role essential in a similar senior role and fast paced environment
  • A technically oriented qualification, preferably at degree level, is essential
  • Able to work both individually and part of a team essential, with ability to inspire and motivate team members
  • Multi-product experience including fringe areas; ability to move between product areas
  • Comprehensive understanding of fitting and fit issues is essential
  • Pattern cutting knowledge and practise is very desirable alongside knowledge of grading and grade rules
  • Knowledge and experience of Gerber and/or similar Pattern system essential
  • Experience of working directly with factories, and thorough understanding of factory production, including work-flow and production control
  • First class communication skills – English and Italian language vital.
  • Able to meet new challenges with a positive attitude
  • Strong time-management skills; able to prioritise tasks and change direction with agility
  • Confident using Outlook, Excel and Word. Keen to expand skill set as the role demands.
