“We have a wonderful team here at Nasty Gal, we are very much a family full of amazing creative people who live and breathe what we do.”

  • Why did you apply to work for us?

I heard Nasty Gal had moved from LA to Manchester back in 2017. I had been following
Nasty Gal for years so I jumped at the chance to apply. I have been here for just over four years now.

  • What’s the best thing about working for us?

Nasty Gal is the most creative and unique brand out of the Group. I get to shoot editorial
models from around the world and I often shoot creative elevated e-commerce shoots and
    campaigns.

  • How would you describe the culture?

We have a wonderful team here at Nasty Gal, we are very much a family full of amazing
creative people who live and breathe what we do.

  • What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

I shoot four to five days a week, leading the creative direction for all of my photographers. When I am off set, I am often problem solving, supporting my team and always finding ways to grow and improve our studio.

  • How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

I have worked up from Model Photographer to Senior Photographer to Lead Photographer
over the four years I have been here. My role has grown massively, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I have a lot to thank Nasty Gal for in my career, I have learned a huge amount in every aspect of being a photographer.

  • What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

My first campaign for Nasty Gal was the Denim campaign back in 2019. After assisting some amazing photographers I was able to lead my own shoot. I got to work with our LA team on this and bring some of my own personal photography style into it with 35mm film.

  • What makes someone successful here?

I think if you genuinely love photography and what you do, you will go far in any creative job you have. I have a lot of natural passion and drive for photography which I find keeps me excited within my job and love what I do. If you always have a positive attitude this will
always flow through your job progression.

  • What do you think makes us unique as an employer?

Growing up as a creative, it is widely known all the “cool” jobs are all in London. Nasty Gal
being based in Manchester gives a huge amount of opportunity to creatives up North which I really love and support.
