“We have a collaborative culture with strong teamwork being crucial to our success.”

  • Why did you apply to work for us?

Warehouse was always a brand I aspired to be a buyer for, since working in the store in Leeds whilst I was studying. It’s an exciting, fashion forward and innovative brand with a strong British heritage, a brand I have been so proud to be a part of over the past years.

  • What’s the best thing about working for us?

The people and the work ethic of our teams throughout the business, as well as the endless opportunities for all creative ideas to be tested.

  • How would you describe the culture?

Collaborative, challenging, innovative and fun. We have a collaborative culture with strong teamwork being crucial to our success, its challenging in a way that pushes boundaries and personal development and innovative in the development for change and improvement. It’s also a fun culture with event day treats, rewards and recognition for all levels throughout the year.

  • What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

I work very closely with an amazing design and buying team to deliver the best range for the brand. There is a constant flow of new ideas and inspiration to test, with a much wider range of options to fill in comparison to my previous roles. The way we work is extremely fast paced, from idea stage to development, to product launch.

We have the autonomy to make quick decisions, without having many meetings to re-review the range as I have done in other roles. This allows us more time to focus our efforts on delivering an exciting and compelling range, with all our energies focussed on getting the best product out there for our customer.

  • How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

My team has grown in size and it has been great to recruit some excellent new talent on to the brand. I have taken on an additional department, so I am now responsible for the buying of the Knitwear and Jersey categories for Warehouse.

  • What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

I’m proud of how myself and my team have adapted to the big change in how we work. We have essentially had to restart the brand again under the boohoo model. It has been so challenging at times but also very rewarding when you look at what we have achieved and the success we’ve had so far.

  • What makes someone successful here?

Being passionate about fashion, having the tenacity to succeed and always keeping a positive can do mind set.

  • What do you think makes us unique as an employer?

boohoo is a rewarding company that recognises people’s efforts and hard work. There are always good opportunities for progression at all levels within the business… (and they also know how to throw a good party!)
