I had heard amazing things about the brand, and I was excited by the acquisitions and growth of the business.
What’s the best thing about working for us?
I’m still in the early stages of my journey, but the people, everyone is welcoming and helpful. It’s made what can be a daunting time easy and enjoyable.
How would you describe the culture?
Super friendly. The offices are vibrant, the people are amazing, it has the feeling of one big family.
What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?
I recruit for tech talent, I spend my time working with our teams to identify what we need to help the team to work to full capacity, as well as reaching out to every area of the market to talk about our plans and how our innovative tech ideas may propel people in their career.
How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?
I’ve been able to and I can make changes and improvements to our processes. I’ve been given a specific area of boohoo (PrettyLittleThing) to work with and bring closer aligned to the rest of the group, in terms of recruitment and best practice, whilst ensuring that I sell specifically the PLT brand and roles.
What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?
With it being my first month I’m yet to have anything to shout about but watch this space!
What makes someone successful here?
Being flexible, you need to understand the journey that boohoo and PLT are on to understand why it operates as it does, ensure that delivery is continued and that you work alongside the business as it grows.
