  • Why did you apply to work for us?

    Having previously worked for smaller businesses I wanted to move to an exciting fast-paced company. Burton is such an amazing brand with a rich heritage. The products are of great quality. It’s one of those brands that isn’t spoken about enough.

  • What’s the best thing about working for us?

    We all think big. The team is great, and we all work collaboratively. The level of experience across the various people of different backgrounds is incredible.

  • How would you describe the culture?

    It is a challenging yet fun environment. Everyone is committed to their roles, and are friendly, always willing to go out of their way to help one another.

  • What do you get up to in your role?

    My role is so varied. From planning and forecasting, to managing intake into the business and then trading stock. In this role you get to work really closely with all the functions of the business, which isn’t usually the case in other companies.

  • How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

    I have had the opportunity to work across various departments within this role. From Denim & Shorts, to Jersey, Knitwear & Non-Clothing. I was fortunate enough to do a six-month secondment in the finance team too to gain some exposure into the finance industry.

  • What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

    Having taken over the non-clothing department – as a team, we grew the Formal Ties & Accessories area by +400% vs the previous year. We were able to trial different product areas, and trade into best sellers, allowing us to grow the area.

  • What makes someone successful here?

    It’s all about enthusiasm, determination and hard work. It is all reflected in the work we do, and the results we achieve, which we are rewarded for.

  • What do you think makes us unique as an employer?

    As we are a big group, there is a lot of flexibility and opportunity to move within the brands. This gives us all the chance to get exposure in both Menswear & Womenswear. We are able to move within brands if any opportunities arise, which I think makes working for us very unique.
