  • Why boohoo group? What makes it different?

    We’re unique in that we’re a pure-play online business with multiple brands that are continuing to grow. There’s immense opportunity and variety. Take our pricing architecture, for example, which ranges from between £15 and £400. Our customer base spans a wide demographic, too – we cater for everyone with our brand diversity and category ranges. The recent surge we’ve experienced shows there’s endless potential to grow, whether that’s global expansion across the brands or developing our wholesale business. Not many other businesses are doing what we are on this scale in the e-commerce fashion space. 

  • What led you here, and what keeps you here?

    I wanted to explore the opportunity of something that’s only going to keep getting bigger – and that’s e-commerce. The online fashion industry continues to grow, and there are many ways to capitalise on that and be the best we can be. My team adds so much value. We can help the business scale and fortify. The Group’s clear roadmap keeps me motivated. Everyone supports our agenda and wants to work with us to make it happen. There’s a lot to do, but we’re committed and determined to achieve our goals.

  • What’s your vision, strategy, and leadership style?

    We have goals across every workstream: Sourcing, Ethical Trade, Sustainability, Product Compliance, Quality Assurance and Product Operations. These exist in parallel and together. No specific goal is prioritised over any of the others. Each area’s goals are important in its own right. 

    I’m an inclusive leader. I like to work with varied personalities. Trust and empowerment are essential, so I bring in people with the right attitude and experience, then I support them to deliver. I’m always thinking about what’s next for my team members; how we can develop them, challenge them, grow them and give them opportunities? There’s always an answer, thanks to the Group.
