Think sustainability. Think transparency. Think positive impact.

We have started to deliver our UP.FRONT strategy across its three key focus areas – clothes made smarter, suppliers on better terms, and our business taking action.

Across the group we are working to source more sustainable fabrics focusing on recycled materials and alternatives to conventional cotton.  We are members of Better Cotton and working with CottonConnect to grow responsible environment enhanced livelihood (REEL) cotton in Pakistan.

We have launched our UK Sustainability Strategy that is focused on improving sustainability in our UK supply chain. In Leicester we have opened Thurmaston Lane, our Manufacturing Centre of Excellence and have completed our Agenda for Change programme with formal sign off from KPMG.

We have taken a number of important steps in the area of climate resilience. We have carried out a Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) risk assessment, our science based targets have been verified by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), and we are producing solar energy at our Burnley Distribution Centre.

  • Our way of working

We’re a pretty new team that’s part of the Responsible Sourcing & Product Operations department, and we’re giving it our all to raise awareness of sustainability across the business. What’s brilliant is that everyone is hugely engaged in our goals. We support the Group to achieve its targets so we can lead by example in our industry. You could say we’re pro-active and challenging the status quo. And we’d agree.

We’re fired up, and there’s everything to play for; we’ve published our sustainability plan, and we’re delivering it at speed. We’re already part of industry groups like Textiles 2030 and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition. We’re laser-focused on the traceability of our supply chain, and we’re actively promoting our fabric sourcing programmes and switching to more sustainable fabrics. We recently launched our Cotton Connect Programme, improving how cotton is produced by working directly with the farmers. Regular workshops make sure we consider sustainability in our product designs.

We believe in transparency and efficiency. That’s why we work closely with all our brands, making sure the strategy is in place to always do better. We’re Manchester and London based, but we often travel to see how things are going across the business and with our suppliers.

  • Are you one of us?

To join us, you’ll share our passion and beliefs. This means playing your part in our mission to reduce the fashion industry's negative impact on the environment – and improve its positive effects too. You’ll become a champion of how and why we work the way we do because being more efficient and more sustainable isn’t optional; it’s better for our business. You need to be a go-getter and ready to work at pace – there’s plenty of autonomy here, so we expect you to own your area, share your insight and expertise with our teams.

  • Achieve everything

We’re in this together, so there’s lots of support, but you’ll still need an entrepreneurial spirit. Get stuck in creating a legacy of change across the business, and we’ll reward you with opportunities to grow, develop and take on more responsibility – you just need to seize them. If you’re open-minded, solutions-focused and a real relationship-builder, we’ll achieve all we want to and more together.
