• Why did you apply to work for us?

  I applied to work at boohoo because it’s renowned for having a fantastic workplace culture. Another reason was the idea of being able to add to and work on multiple apps I use daily for a company I respect.

• What’s the best thing about working for us?

  The best thing about working for boohoo is you are always working on different features and tasks each week; the work never gets boring because the features are so new and innovative.

• How would you describe the culture?

  A family based fun environment.

• What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

  I’ve never worked in a team before, I was always the sole developer, so now working for boohoo I get the support and knowledge from other team members which in turn has helped me progress my skills and shown me different ways of sorting problems. boohoo also pushes for development & progression of your skills by offering the chance to go on courses of your choice.

• How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

  Since working here, I now work alongside a large team of mobile developers, we share knowledge and help each other out which has progressed my own personal development skills. I’m also scheduled to take part in the Google developer course which means that once complete I’ll be a certified google android developer all thanks to boohoo.

• What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

  Implementing a payment method (ZipPay). Working on the Wallis Rebrand.

• What makes someone successful here?

  Having the ability to keep up with the fast-paced environment.

  The culture of the company as a whole, the amount of care the company puts into the teams and each single employee.
