• Why did you apply to work for us?

  I wanted to work for a fast paced, forward thinking digital company and having previously worked with the Dorothy Perkins management team, it was a no brainer.

• What’s the best thing about working for us?

  It’s the office culture for me. It feels like a big family, everyone is friendly, supportive and very welcoming.

  From a job role perspective, the boohoo buying model means you can make an impact quickly meaning you see the results of your hard work sooner, and this keeps me motivated. 

• How would you describe the culture?

  Fun, fast & friendly. There is a “work hard, play hard” mentality that was perfectly demonstrated on Black Friday with a live DJ in the office and an after-work party to say thank you for everyone’s efforts in the build-up to the big day. 

• What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

  The role itself is similar to previous roles; trade opportunities & manage risks. The biggest difference for me is the autonomy I have here at boohoo to make decisions, test ideas and trade successes.

• How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

  I have only been here five months so probably too soon to answer.

• What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

  Managing to get two of my team promoted within my first four months in the business. Recognising talent and promoting internally seems to be of high importance within the group. 

• What makes someone successful here?

  A hard working, active team player who is agile, flexible, and able to make quick yet considered decisions. You need to be able to learn quickly from mistakes and move forward without dwelling.

• What do you think makes us unique as an employer?

  I love the fact that all ideas are welcome regardless of level, and there is very much an open-door policy with senior management and directors. No idea is too big or too small. 
  I also enjoy the fact that each brand within the group is treated like an individual business, so I never feel like I am part of a large corporate machine. There is an “anything is possible” mentality, which is exciting.
