• Why did you apply to work for us?

  I was interested in the exciting things the boohoo brand was currently doing. At the time, boohoo had acquired the Arcadia brands, and we in talks to acquire Debenhams. I had a look on the recruitment website and read the values and testimonials from current staff and was very interested to see the working environment and culture boohoo promotes – I have not been disappointed!

• What’s the best thing about working for us?

  The work is fast-paced and different every day! Colleagues come to work with enthusiasm and drive, which helps make achieving our daily goals feel like a breeze!

• How would you describe the culture?

  Fun, inclusive and very positive. Many colleagues are recognised for their hard work and we use this motivation to help identify talent and promote from within.

• What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

  Daily jobs are to manage the overall operation of the area I am working on. However what makes it different is you get the opportunity to spend time with individual colleagues, to get to understand what makes them tick. Usually this can lead to a conversation around their development and giving them something engaging and exciting that they can perform well at.

• How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

  I have been given the opportunity to become a team manager, with no warehouse experience. I originally came from retail, so to be given an opportunity in a new sector makes me feel really valued for my skills. I am now currently on a secondment as a shift manager.

• What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

  As a team we have delivered a successful Black Friday and Festive period, delivering high expectations to our customers during a busy period!

• What makes someone successful here?

  The will to turn up each day with enthusiasm and positivity! There is no secret recipe!
