“The culture at boohooMAN is a number of things; collaborative, driven, experimental, tight-knit and FAST!”

  • Why did you apply to work for us?

I applied to work for the boohoo group as it is a globally renowned fashion leader and I wanted to be a part of that.

  • What’s the best thing about working for us?

The best thing about working at boohooMAN is collaborating and working alongside such talented people. It inspires me, keeps the brands ahead of any other and makes it an amazing place to work.

  • How would you describe the culture?

The culture at boohooMAN is a number of things; collaborative, driven, experimental, tight-knit and FAST!

  • What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

The E-commerce Trade team at boohooMAN is different to any other e-commerce team I have worked for before. It is focused, customer journey led and analytical. All experiences, promotions, imagery, and terminology are tested to ensure we are operating to the highest standard to ultimately drive incremental sales. International growth is a huge part of our strategy, we tailor all markets specifically to match their proposition and deep dive into what each country requires, from easy returns, specific payment providers, translations etc. We are the final piece of the puzzle, the products have been designed, bought, created, shot, styled, and then uploaded to site for us to present to customers through the most enticing offers, seamless of journeys, and rapid speed making it a challenge for our competitors to keep up.

  • How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

I started my journey at boohooMAN as a Trading Executive and after two years was promoted to Senior Trading Executive. I then moved onto covering the E-commerce Trading Manager role whilst my manager was on maternity leave. Since then, I have recently been promoted to Assistant Trade Manager and help lead the Trade, CRM and Visual Merchandising team. As I have been with the company for almost five years now, I understand the brand as well as the expectations and responsibilities that e-commerce hold. I enjoy that I now get to support, train and develop the team to achieve boohooMANs goals.

  • What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

Everyone is going to say “oh here she goes again…” but, I was awarded one of the ‘employees of the year award’, in 2018 at the works Christmas do!

  • What makes someone successful here?

Drive, commitment, thrives under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

  • What do you think makes us unique as an employer?

boohoo cares for its staff in numerous ways. Frequent check-ins with management; ensuring you are on track to achieving your personal goals and enrolling you onto courses or training sessions as a way of developing. They also show this through thoughtful gestures such as valentines packages left on our desks, employee appreciation day packages sent to our homes during lock down, free lunches on a Monday… the list in endless. They host the most extravagant parties and reward staff monthly.

I’ve never worked for a company like this before and it makes me feel valued and sets boohoo apart from everyone else.
