How would you describe the culture?
The culture at PLT is different to any company I’ve worked before, everyone is so driven to achieve their personal goals and treated like a family.

What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?
As a Junior Merchandiser at PLT I work in a very busy, fast-paced environment and no two days or merchandising are ever the same, which always makes it interesting! I am involved not only in sales and stock management for the current season, from rebuys to markdown, but also planning for future seasons by setting targets and budgets for the department. I work alongside the buying team on Accessories & Homeware to plan each season to create product plans for future trends.

How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?
I started at PLT four years ago as an entry level admin on merchandising, straight from Uni with only one year placement experience (would highly recommend) and have managed to work up in this time to Junior Merchandiser.

What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?
Definitely my recent promotion during the pandemic. I really found it challenging to adapt to new ways of working but still achieve my goals and progress at PLT.

I think really using your initiative and making yourself stand out to show a real passion for PLT.
