“It’s a really relaxed atmosphere and you’re given a lot of autonomy over your own work.”

Why did you apply to work for us?
Having worked in agency recruitment previously, I knew I wanted to step into an internal role that would allow me to represent a brand that I’d be proud of and somewhere I could get involved and build relationships that I could see right through. boohoo has grown rapidly and looked like a really fun environment, which is what I was looking for.
-
What’s the best thing about working for us?
Despite being super busy, it’s a really relaxed atmosphere and you’re given a lot of autonomy over your own work. I love that my days fly by and that there’s such a variety of people that I can feel comfortable just being me.
-
How would you describe the culture?
FUN! There’s such a good vibe in the office and we’re rewarded for all our hard work with different incentives, be it parties, shares, discounts etc. or even just a simple “thank you” which is fab.
I’d also say progressive. Things are always changing here so you need to be prepared that no two days will be the same. You need to be able to adapt and grow with the business as boohoo are always developing to ensure we are up to standard and relevant.

What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?
In Talent Acquisition we partner with stakeholders to advise and assist with finding the best people for our business. We find out what’s needed within each team/role and present candidates we feel would fit the bill. We want to make sure candidates are fully aware of what would be expected of them in the role and that they know about our culture and about us as a business. I always try my best to make sure people are comfortable and confident about meeting hiring managers and that it’s the right role for them as well as them being right for us.
-
What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?
I’ve thrown myself into my role as Talent Acquisition Partner and feel like I’ve built some good relationships with my stakeholders already which I hope will continue and only get better.
-
What makes someone successful here?
You’ve got to work hard. If you show willing and the want to succeed and progress, you’ll have a successful career here.

What do you think makes us unique as an employer?
I’ve not met one person that hasn’t been approachable or said a “good morning” or “hello”, no matter their position which you might not always find in a large organisation. It’s fun, fast paced and ever changing. I know it may not be for everyone but if you’re ambitious and like to be hands on and get involved, I think you’ll love it!
