• Why did you apply to work for us?

  I started whilst Covid was in full swing and all places were locked down, my other job stopped paying furlough and I needed money to pay expenses. At the time boohoo was the only job that was hiring. 

• What’s the best thing about working for us?

  The three days on and three days off as I’ve never had a fixed working schedule and it gives me enough time to enjoy days off. 

• How would you describe the culture?

  Very positive, the communication between management, team managers and operatives is one of the best that I have experienced. Staff feel comfortable to speak with team managers, sometimes the language barrier can be difficult but we are never short of people who can translate. 

• What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

  In my job role I manage staff on a variety of things i.e their job role, department transfers, holidays, absences. In my previous jobs I’ve never had to manage staff fully to the extent I am, other than monitoring staff and helping them with things they weren’t trusted with.  

• How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

  When I joined it only took me seven weeks to start learning admin work for RTS and then processing. After a few months going back and forth between processing and admin I was approached to learn as a step up team manager. Within seven months I’d had three development/job role opportunities that I didn’t expect. 

• What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

  My biggest achievement/proudest moment is that I started as agency 7^th August 2020 and by March 2021 I started training as a step up with full contract September 2021. 

• What makes someone successful here?

  Hard working, willing to learn, and looking for opportunities to further their career by asking for any training. 

• What do you think makes us unique as an employer?

  The benefits, facilities and opportunities that boohoo as an employer offer is very generous compared to most places and it is the first time for myself to experience these three points within my workplace.
