  • Why did you apply to work for us?

    I applied to work for the boohoo group because they are one of the leading fashion e-retailers in the UK, so I knew I would be entering a workspace dominating the industry with a large customer base and big ambitions.  

  • What’s the best thing about working for us?

    Under the relatively recent ownership of boohoo, there is a real sense of growth and transformation in the company which provides an opportunity to have a genuine impact to the business, helping steer its direction within the market – for me, this is the perfect environment for personal and professional growth. 

  • How would you describe the culture?

    It’s a really fun and exciting environment with a great team spirit. 

  • What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

    One of my favourite parts of this role is how varied the days are from leading supplier meetings, hand drawing artworks, researching trends, design development, technical packs. I feel very trusted in my role and I have the opportunity to take ownership of my projects seeing them develop from idea to product.

  • How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

    I have learnt so much during my time at Coast and I feel this role has really accelerated my career in fashion. I came to Coast straight from university and quickly learnt how a large fashion company operates and how to design commercially viable products. Within one year of being at Coast, I was asked to join the team on a trip to India to design and build relationships with our suppliers. This was an amazing opportunity where I gained valuable insights into downstream manufacturing and how to improve communications with suppliers.  

  • What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

    Seeing my designs and artworks becoming bestsellers for the brand has been my proudest moment. Every time I check the website and see one of my designs, I get a real buzz and drive to create more designs that resonate with our customers. 

  • What makes someone successful here?

    Being agile. This is a fast-moving business therefore being reactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic is paramount in a role here at boohoo.

    There is no real hierarchy at boohoo. No matter what level or position you are everyone’s opinion is considered and valued. If you’ve got a good idea, run with it…
