  • Why did you apply to work for us?

    I just left university, however I lived in a relatively small town with no real big businesses in the area which fitted my enthusiasm for fashion and e-commerce, so I started my boohoo career just over five years ago as Customer Service Advisor, and within six months was quickly promoted to a Team Manager. Then after a year and a half in Customer Services, I moved over to HR where I headed up employee engagement across the group! Now I work at the Manchester HQ within the Corporate Affairs team leading on Internal Communications, so you could say progression is something boohoo really invest in for sure, and that is something I was looking for when applying.

  • What’s the best thing about working for us?

    I know it sounds cliché, but the people. I come into work and see my friends. We work hard… but laugh harder.

  • How would you describe the culture?

    Everyone is crazy passionate about who and what we are, you get that vibe no matter who you speak to, or what office or location you’re at. We’re a family, there’s no hierarchy mentality, we just want to do and be the best. Also, the boohoo parties are kind of legendary too, boohoo loves a party I’ll tell you that!

  • What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

    I head up Internal Communications for the Group… This can be anywhere from running monthly Town Halls which are led by our senior leadership team for colleagues to understand what’s happening around the business, to keeping our boohooforyou intranet up-to-date with important need-to-know info. No two days are the same at boohoo, it’s all hands on deck, everyone works together.

  • How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

    In the five years I’ve worked for boohoo… I’ve had five different roles; from Customer Service Advisor to working in the Legal department… if you’re looking to develop and skyrocket your career, boohoo is for you.

  • What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

    Can I only have to choose one?! One of my biggest achievements has to be launching our internal intranet boohooforyou, we launched it within an impressive six weeks with only a team of two!

  • What makes someone successful here?

    Be driven, be confident, be passionate. I think it’s incredibly important to want to see the business excel.

  • What do you think makes us unique as an employer?

    No matter what department you work in, you’ll get exposure to different departments and teams. We don’t work in silos here, if you’re working on a project, expect to dip into other brands’ worlds.
