• Why did you apply to work for us?

  The company – it’s such a fast growing, acquisitive business, it’s exciting to now be a part of that!

• What’s the best thing about working for us?

  Being fairly new (six months in) and being part of a new team within the People Function, I already feel like I’ve been here much longer. Everyone has been so welcoming, every day you discover and learn something new, so it’s never boring.

• How would you describe the culture?

  Energetic, hardworking and sociable.

• What do you get up to in your role? What makes it different compared with other similar roles you’ve had?

  As a Reward Team we look after all reward and benefits for the Group – this includes our pension schemes, life assurance, healthcare cash plan and private healthcare benefits, as well as managing pay review and any incentive based pay like annual bonus or the many share schemes we have. We want to ensure our benefits and initiatives really make an impact and a difference for our boohoo employees.
  
  For me, coming from a company that had all cyclical reward process embedded, boohoo offers a new opportunity to implement processes that may not already be in place, due to the sheer growth of the business.

• How has your career developed since you’ve worked here?

  I’m only at the start of my career with boohoo, but I do truly believe the company invests in your development. There are so many opportunities for talented individuals to show their potential and thrive.

• What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

  Just discovering and learning every day, building relationships and familiarising boohoo with a new Reward Team.

• What makes someone successful here?

  Hard work and enthusiasm – if you are passionate about what you do, then you can really progress within the business.

• What do you think makes us unique as an employer?

  The agility, the growth and how quickly boohoo can adapt. Whether that be to the restrictions and challenges covid brought about or the speed of the many acquisitions, and how we then embed new companies and employees within the business.
