The Role

The role purpose of a Hygiene Operative at Boohoo is to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained in the warehouse, distribution, and work areas. This is critical to providing a safe, organized, and efficient working environment for all staff while also adhering to health and safety regulations.

Please note this will follow a 4 on, 4 off 8PM and 6AM shift pattern.

The Team

In the Hygiene team, we strive high standards of cleanliness through best practices and by addressing any issues promptly. We drive improvements by empowering our team members to take responsibility for maintaining a clean and organised environment. We passionately believe that there is always room for improvement, and we work together to ensure a pristine and safe setting for everyone.

What you’ll be doing

  •  Washrooms: Replenishment of consumables, clean down of toilets bases, urinals, pipe work, skirting boards, sinks, mirrors and sweeping and mopping floors.
  •  Canteens: Sanitising down surfaces and appliances, replenishment of paper consumables, sweeping and mopping/machining floors. Feather flicking high level areas.
  •  Offices: Wipe down of office surfaces, emptying waste bins. Skirting boards, removing hand marks from glass panelling. Mopping/machining floors.
  •  Gym: Sanitising wipe down surfaces and handheld areas. Vacuum floors, mopping/machining floors,
  •  Shower rooms: Wiping down shower cubicles, and frames, replenishment of paper and hygiene consumables, clean down of toilets bases, mop / machine floors.
  • Communal Areas: Wipe down surfaces, sweeping/mopping/emptying waste bins, vacuum carpeted areas, removing hand marks from glass panelling, wiping down skirting boards, turnstile gates and glass panelling, mopping & machining floors.
  • Warehouse: Sweeping / Machining shop floors, Vac pack warehouse stairwells, emptying waste bins.
  • External Areas: Designated on site Smoking areas: sweeping surrounding areas, emptying waste bins and cigarette bins
  • Litter Pick: Litter pick around inside ground of carpark and surrounding walkways, Empty carpark bins.
  • Sign off: Sign off designated tasks once complete.
