The role

The Quality Control Roving Auditor is responsible for performing inspections and tests on materials and products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards. This position requires mobility across different production sites and departments, providing flexibility and immediate response to quality issues.

Location: Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China - The position will involve travel within the area to different production/supplier sites.

What you'll be doing

Inspection and Testing:

  • Conduct routine inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
  • Use measurement tools and testing equipment to assess the quality of products.
  • Record and analyse test data to determine if products meet specifications and standards

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all products meet company and industry quality standards.
  • Identify deviations from quality standards and specifications.
  • Report and document any discrepancies or non-conformances.

Process Monitoring:

  • Monitor production processes and operations to ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Provide feedback on quality issues and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans and procedures.

Problem-Solving:

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, collaborating with Supplier teams.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality audits.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management.
  • Ensure proper documentation of quality control activities and findings.

Training and Support:

  • Support suppliers by providing guidance and assistance on quality control procedures and best practices.

Mobility and Flexibility:

  • Travel between different Production/Supplier sites and departments as required.
  • Adapt to varying work environments and schedules to meet quality control needs

About you

  • Proven experience in Quality Control or related field, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools and testing equipment (Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise measurements and inspections)
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (Fluent in English)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and products as needed
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to different production settings and work environments (must hold a full driving license)
