The role

Back in 2006, we started out as one brand with only three team members. We now have a second home in the heart of Soho, London, with Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis, Warehouse, Nasty Girl, Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton all here. With 400 wonderful team members in our London Head Office we are looking for a People (HR) Advisor to join our London team on this journey!

To work collaboratively in person with our teams business this role does require an onsite presence 4 days per week with 1 day working from home (which you can choose).

What you'll be doing

No two days at boohoo are ever the same, and with our ambitious growth plans there’s certainly lots to do! We’ve listed some of your key responsibilities below, but we are a small and close knit team who all roll up our sleeves and get stuck in to whatever challenge comes our way!

  • Being the first point of contact for all our London people, handling the day-to-day queries along side our fab People Assistant.

  • Building relationships with stake holders across the business areas, providing clear advice and guidance.

  • You’ll play an active role in managing employee relations queries, supporting our stakeholders with maternity, paternity, welfare meetings, probations, investigations, disciplinary, flexible working, problem solving, performance management etc, drafting letters and notetaking.

  • Supporting our People Partners with long term sickness cases, liaising with Occupational Health & supporting with formal capability meetings.

  • Ownership of the employee exit interview process. Conducting and holding exit interviews with employees and managers, identifying trends and area’s of concern and feeding this back on a quarterly report, proposing ideas to challenge and change this.

  • Supporting the wider L&D, Rewards and Talent team to roll out any initiatives, workshops or business updates to the London population.

  • You’ll play an active role in leading the London employee engagement initiatives, thinking of ways to maintain boohoo’s fun, creative and passionate employees.

More about you

  • We work closely alongside our brands, therefore the ability to build trusted relationships and be comfortable with an open door policy is key- your a brilliant communicator
  • You're currently at Senior People Assistant level or already a People Advisor looking for a new challenge
  • Our teams are all super busy, so when they come to us for advice we like to know our stuff, so it’s important you have strong ER experience and have previously worked at a generalist level
  • We like to move fast (really fast) and don’t like to be controlled by too many rules or processes, so you’ll need to be confident making decisions quickly, autonomously and commercially
  • Any ideas are welcome within our team so we want you to propose changes, think creatively and have the freedom to put forward new ways of working to make things continually better
